It’s like first prize, we get with the tides
First ones awake
It’s like sweet nostalgia
Call it what you will, I call it motivation
More inspiration I need
All I do is dream
Lilac and willow to sweeten the air
From my pillow
All I do is dream
First ones were up with the sun, first breath I take
It’s like sweet nostalgia.
Call it what you will
I call it my inspiration, my motivation I need
All I do is dream
Lilac and willow to sweeten the day
From my window
All I do is dream
I close my eyes, I pray for sleep
It’s the same bad dream for nearly a week now
And lord how I’ve tried, can’t catch no shut eye
(sleeping out under bright moonlight in my own backyard,
I was bored of the stars so I got high)

This album is single-handedly getting me through my seasonal depression. Captures the energy of the season perfectly, and with a nice hopeful message to remind myself to keep going. <33 redrevelry

This is undoubtedly my single favorite album of all time. It feels like such a perfect culmination of all the themes and ideas Fleet Foxes has been working with since 2008. It answers many of the questions found on both Helplessness Blues and Crack-Up, and represents an incredible maturation and growth in Robin Pecknold's perspective. Their other albums are certainly masterpieces, but this, in my opinion, is their magnum opus. I doubt it will be recognized as such in its time. isaiah_stuart
